He'd dance to your beat

People are puppets, held together with string.
There's a beautiful sadness that runs through him,
As he asked me to pray to the god
He doesn't believe in.
Time and again boys race to be men
Impatient they start, fearful they end.
But here was a man mourning tomorrow.
He drank, but finally drowned in his sorrow
Everything you love turns to dust,
You'd make more of it but you felt rushed,
By all that's periphery,
You held tight, but on the contrary,
The trick to life is not to get too attached to it
You'd jump off the edge but you felt pushed,
By all that's unnecessary,
You tread but you're off on the wrong foot
He'd dance to your beat, and steal your heart
And smile with those teeth and tear you apart
